This piece, which I wrote in 2025, is based on themes of nature and the preservation of the natural world. The title is taken from Sumerian mythology and references the primordial waters from which all life emerges. In four movements for solo instruments and four movements for quartet, I explore some beautiful features of nature, along with some man-made forces which are capable of damaging them.
